Personal Advisory

One advisor. One relationship. Your entire retirement, covered.

Terravnova's personal advisory service gives you a named CFP who knows your history, checks in quarterly, and is reachable when life doesn't wait for a scheduled review.

What ongoing advisory actually looks like

Many financial planning firms sell you a plan and see you once a year. Terravnova's advisory relationship works differently. Your advisor holds a 90-minute annual review that covers every dimension of your plan — savings progress, income sequencing, estate changes, and any life events from the past year. Between those reviews, you get three quarterly check-in calls (30 minutes each) and open-line access whenever a decision can't wait. Typical mid-year topics include a job change, an inheritance, a health diagnosis, a property sale, or a child's financial need. We don't bill by the hour for those conversations — they're part of the relationship.

What the advisory relationship includes

Every year, every quarter, every time you need us.

Annual comprehensive review

A 90-minute session covering your full financial picture: savings trajectory, income plan adjustments, estate update, and any regulatory changes that affect your accounts.

Quarterly check-in calls

Three 30-minute calls per year to track plan milestones, address questions, and recalibrate if anything has shifted in your life or in legislation.

Open-line access

When something important comes up between scheduled calls, you reach your named advisor directly — not a general inbox. Response within one business day, guaranteed.

Life-event plan updates

Divorce, inheritance, early retirement, a medical diagnosis — your advisor revises the relevant sections of your plan and delivers a written update within five business days.

An honest note on what advisory can and can't deliver

Terravnova advisors are financial planners, not portfolio managers. We do not buy or sell securities on your behalf, and we don't manage discretionary investment accounts. Our value is in the coordination layer — making sure your savings, income, and estate decisions work together intelligently over time. If your plan calls for an investment manager, we help you evaluate and communicate with one, but that relationship is separate. We also can't guarantee specific financial outcomes; markets, tax legislation, and your own longevity are variables outside any advisor's control. What we can guarantee is that you'll never make a major retirement decision alone.

When my mother's health declined last spring, I called my Terravnova advisor on a Tuesday afternoon. By Thursday we had revised my RRIF withdrawal timing, updated my POA situation, and talked through how a potential caregiving leave would affect my income bridge. I didn't have to explain my entire history — she already knew it.
